My Steam & Grill Oven is not very normal recently. It does not generate steam as quickly as before, or there is no steam coming out at all. Does it need a repair?
There could be a water scale buildup within the Steam & Grill Oven. This is caused by user filling the water tank with tap water instead of distilled water. Scale buildup would clog the internal water pipe. If you notice a slow or interrupted stream of steam, or if there are white powdery substances ejected together with the steam, you may try adding citric acid or white vinegar into the water tank and run the oven in order to clean up the scale buildup in the pipes.
After each use, should I empty the water tank of my Steam Oven with Grill?
Yes. It is advised to empty the water tank and drip tray after each use. This is for hygienic reasons and proper care for the appliance. You may remove the tank and drip tray to wipe them clean. Let them dry before putting them back in position.
While installing/placing the Oven, how much space is needed for heat dissipation?
Keep a minimum 20 cm distance from the cabinet above, 5 cm for the sides and 10 cm behind.
Is heat convection good for baking cake?
Yes, it is. The heat convection can ensure the cake is cooked. However the heat convection may lead the surface of the cake becomes dry.
Can I use the Steam and Grill Oven to bake a cake?
Yes, you can. But here is a reminder for baking a cake. SGV-5221 do not have the lower heating element. Therefore, it is suggested that using a small baking mold for cake baking. For SGV-5228, it is equipped the lower heating element and suitable for baking.
Can I adjust the time while using preset cooking function?
Yes, you can adjust the time.
How to clear rusty stains on the Oil Collector of the Multifunctional Steam Oven?
It is limescale accumulating. To remove, soak in diluted white vinegar overnight, steam for 30 minutes and then rinse.
Do I need to preheat the oven before cooking?
It is suggested to preheat for 5 minutes before steaming/grilling.
What is the best way to clean the Multifunctional Steam Oven?
Clean the oil collector with water and detergent. Put a few lemon slices into the oven, select "Steam" to make cleaning easier.
Why do I steam the food for a long time but the food is still not ready?
The best way to steam food is cooking it with steamer rack.
Is there anything I have to pay attention to after using the Multifunctional Steam Oven?
In order to prevent rust and mold, keep the oven door open for a while to let condensed water evaporate.
