Is heat convection good for baking cake?
Yes, it is. The heat convection can ensure the cake is cooked. However the heat convection may lead the surface of the cake becomes dry.
Why is there rusty stain on the Oil Collector of the Multifunctional Steam Oven?
The oil collector has not become rusty. It is just that limescale has accumulated on the oil collector. In order to prevent the formation of limescale, put only filtered or distilled water in the water tank. Please avoid using tap water. To remove limescale, soak the oil collector in diluted white vinegar overnight. Then steam it in the Steam Oven for 30 minutes and rinse with water.
Do I need to preheat the oven before cooking?
Yes, it is suggested that preheat the oven for 5 minutes before cooking.
What is the best way to clean the Multifunctional Steam Oven?
Clean the oil collector with water and washing up liquid. You can also put a few lemon slices into the oven, select "Steam" or "Sterilization" and activate the steam oven for 10-15 minutes. This can soften the stains and make cleaning easier.
Is there anything I have to pay attention to while installing/placing the Multifunctional Free Standing Steam Oven?
Do not place anything on top of the steam oven and keep a minimum 20 cm distance from the cabinet above. Leave a minimum 5 cm distance between the sides of the appliance and the wall, and a at least 10 cm distance between the back of the appliance and the wall.
What kinds of containers are compatible with the Multifunctional Steam Oven?
Oven save containers are in general compatible with the Multifunctional Steam Oven. Please avoid using plastic containers with the steam oven.
Why do I steam the food for a long time but the food is still not ready?
The best way to steam food is cooking it with steamer rack. It is because the steam is generated from the bottom part of the oven. With the steamer rack, it helps steaming the food easily.
Is there anything I have to pay attention to after using the Multifunctional Steam Oven?
In order to prevent rust and mold, keep the oven door open for a while to let condensed water evaporate. Also, wipe the drip tray with a dry cloth.
Can I adjust the time while using preset cooking function?
Yes, you can adjust the time. It is because the size of the food may need more time to cook it. So you can adjust the time to fit the size of the food while cooking.
Can I use the Steam and Grill Oven to bake a cake?
Yes, you can. But here is a reminder for baking a cake. SGV-5221 do not have the lower heating element. Therefore, it is suggested that using a small baking mold for cake baking. For SGV-5228, it is equipped the lower heating element and suitable for baking.
How does the Multifunctional Steam Oven achieve the 115℃ high-temperature steam cooking?
Equipped with a patent steam generator, the Multifunctional Steam Oven first turns water into water vapour before heating up the steam with the effective heating elements within a concealed environment. High-temperature steam of up to 115°C is then produced.
