The hole on the lid is a steam vent designed to release heat and steam; it is not a handle for lifting the lid. To avoid burns, never touch the steam vent during or immediately after cooking.
Why would Express Egg Cooker pause in the middle of the cooking process?
If there is not enough water, the Egg Cooker would pause heating. Cooking would also stop if the power is disconnected.
Why does the lid feel loose and unable to secure onto the Egg Cooker during steaming?
The lid is designed to lock into the egg tray. Regardless of whether you are cooking eggs, the egg tray must be placed onto the heating base first to properly secure the lid.

To prevent water stains, using unfiltered tap water is not recommended. Also, make sure to use room-temperature water for optimal steaming results.

How to clean water stains from the heating base of Egg Cooker?
Soak the heating base with diluted white vinegar for 30 minutes to remove general water stain. For stubborn scaling, heating distilled water and citrus acid in Egg Cooker for 5 minutes. Heat another round of 5 minutes using plain distilled water.
