Commissioner of ICAC Encouraged Spending at the HKBPE

Impacted by the global financial tsunami, consumer confidence is declining in Hong Kong. Therefore, some government officials visit shops to encourage spending. Coming back for a vacation from Switzerland, Mr Timothy Tong Hin-ming, the Commissioner, Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC), visited the HKBPE with his offsprings. They have bought a variety of German Pool products, including Halogen Cooking Pot, Healthy Slow Cooker, Tower Fan Heater, and Aromatic Cool Mist Humidifier. Home appliances are a part of our daily lives, the Commissioner of ICAC\'s purchase of household products is an act to help with the economy.

Organized by the Chinese Manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong, the 43rd Hong Kong Brands and Products Expo is held from 13 December, 2008 to 4 January, 2009. After the Chief Executive Donald Tsang and his wife's visit to the HKBPE on the opening day, government officials including the Commissioner of ICAC also pay visit to support Hong Kong brands and the shopping atmosphere in the city.
