2 Brand New Products to Win Home Appliance Design Awards

As an eco-friendly product, German Pool Energy-Saving Cordless Electric Water Kettle (ECO-15) has won the Gold Award from the Hong Kong Household Electrical Appliances Design and Innovation Competition 2009, organized by the Hong Kong Electrical Appliances Manufacturers Association.

Energy-Saving Cordless Electric Water Kettle boils the exact amount of water you need – from a single cupful to a full kettle, thanks to the patented “Dual-Reservoir Design”. Such a revolutionary design puts an end to energy and time wastage by preventing the boiling of unused water. It thus boils much faster and consumes up to 30% less energy than the average kettles, according to UK consumer trials directed by the Energy Saving Trust.

Another new product, Turbo Halogen Cooking Pot (CKY-901), has as well won the Silver Award from the same competition. This multi-purpose kitchen appliance can grill, bake, toast, broil, roast, stir-fry, steam, re-heat and defrost. With far-infrared technology, it cooks frozen food 3 times faster than the average cookware and saves up to 80% energy. Rotational cooking helps to heat up food more evenly so that it tastes crispy and juicy. Also, with the stir-frying paddle, you can add in ingredients for automatic stir-frying of rice, vegetables, etc.
