No. This is caused by the rice cooker's memory function. After the power is cut off, the appliance will automatically continue with the previous programme if the power resumes within 2 hours.
If you wish to stop a cooking programme halfway, press the cancel button before switching off the power. Or else the rice cooker will automatically restart with the latest selected programme when reconnecting to power within 2 hours.
