Grand Opening of German Pool Kowloon Flagship Store
Established in 1982, German Pool began its legacy as a German water heater importer. Three decades on, German Pool has diversified into a manufacturing, wholesale, and retail of a burgeoning series of premium lifestyle products ranging from water heaters, lifestyle appliances, seasonal appliances, healthcare products, housewares, built-in appliances, kitchen cabinetry and wardrobes. Our company motto – Life Made Simpler – has steered our R&D efforts in the past 30 years, in that every product we offer has been designed to an exacting standard based on the premises of aestheticism, health, eco-friendliness, and safety. Our series of products are synonymous with “Blending Taste & Glamour” – the de rigeur criteria for all German Pool products in this new advanced era. In June 2014, German Pool opened a brand new Kowloon Flagship Store, which is stocked choc-a-bloc with premium products. This new Flagship Store is set to offer a convenient one-stop-shopping experience for our customers.
The Grand Opening ribbon cutting ceremony
In excess of 7,000 sqft, German Pool’s Kowloon Flagship Store officially opened with a cocktail and grand opening ceremony on June 19, 2014, which had been a spectacle of lion dance and ample guests. Politicians and high-profile guests joined German Pool’s founder Dr Edward Chan Kwok-man at the ribbon cutting ceremony, including Gregory So Kam-leung JP, the current Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development of Hong Kong; Stanley Lau Chin-ho JP, the Executive Director of Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI); Dr. Roy C.P. Chung, Co-Founder and Non-Executive Director of FHKI; Iron Sze JP, the President of Chinese Manufacturer’s Association of Hong Kong; Lam Tai-fai JP, the legislative councilor; Clement Chen Cheng-jen, the Chairman of Hong Kong Productivity Council, and Raymond Siu Chak-yee, the chief superintendent and district commander of Kowloon City District.
On the day of the Grand Opening, the German Pool Culinary Experience Centre on the second floor becomes a tasting area. Guests nibbled on various sweet and savoury delicacies made using German Pool lifestyle appliances. These include homemade five green juice, bamboo charcoal noodles, fresh breads, and satays. After the ceremony, the Centre will host regular “interactive workshops” where celebrity chefs and coaches will come and share cooking tips with culinary enthusiasts, not least to demonstrate the superb functionalities of German Pool’s products.
Blending taste and glamour
The flagship store has been stylishly decorated. The Culinary Experience Centre on the second floor, below, the Custom Cabinets and Appliances Centre is sectioned into a lifestyle appliances zone, water heater zone, kitchen cabinetry zone, and premium custom-made wardrobe zone. Featured built-in products including range hood, cookers, ovens, microwave ovens, dishwashers, and refrigerator as well as a wealth of custom-made five-star hotel-style wardrobe. Premium quakity and unique designs are the hallmark of German Pool’s products. These stylish and functional products will add to the holistic and integral looks of your kitchens, realizing the company motto of “Life Made Simpler”.
This zone showcases the brand new Luxury Series Professional High-Speed Food Processor. This global limited edition food processor is hand-embellished with 15,000 Xilion Rose Flatback crystals. Each model comes with a unique identification number and an authenticity certicate, a dedicated luxury recipe, cleaning cloth and gloves as well as a care instructions. This manifests German Pool’s passion for exceptional asthetics, innovation and quality.

The latest series of instantaneous electric water heaters are compatible with German Pool’s latest technological invention – the Smart Control. Using an iPad interface, every member of the family can customize start-up and output temperature of the heaters to suit everyone’s lifestyle and daily routine. The Smart Control system also summarises every individual member’s energy and water usage to help households meet their saving targets.
German Pool debuted its first one-stop kitchen and appliances showroom in Wai Chai in 2000. The concept store showcases everything from kitchen hardware such as imported German built-in kitchens and all sorts of accessories. The Flagship Store is a step-up from the original concept store. There are way more display kitchens here to satisfy every taste and desire.
