German Pool to Receive “Happy Organization” Label Again
German Pool has recently received the "Happy Organization Label" for the second time! Jointly hosted by the Promoting Happiness Index Foundation and the Hong Kong Productivity Council, the Happy Organization Label Scheme 2014 Ceremony was held on 13th June 2014. Recipients of the recognition this year include CLP Power Hong Kong, Lee Kum Kee International Holdings Ltd., Sa Sa International Holdings Limited, The Star Ferry Company Limited, Fairwood Holdings Limited, Sony Corporation of Hong Kong Limited and Wharf T&T Limited, etc.
"Happy Organization Label Scheme" aims to encourage companies to commit to providing a happy working environment and promoting a positive, healthy lifestyle for their employees. Mr. Edward Chan, Managing Director and Founder of German Pool (Hong Kong) Ltd., shared his experience for leading a happy organization.
"We provide fresh fruits for staff every day. In order to raise the awareness on the importance of occupational health, German Pool also encourages staff to join talks organized by the Promoting Happiness Index Foundation."
To overcome the communication barrier, staff can express their opinions by joining various meetings in small groups. Employees of all levels are encouraged to take part in charity activities and contribute to society, such as participating in Community Chest events, Food Waste Recycling Partnership Scheme, etc.
The mission of "Happy Organization Label Scheme" is to encourage businesses and organizations in creating a happy working environment, and to raise the happiness-at-work level of the local workforce. The Promoting Happiness Index Foundation and the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) launched the "Happy Organization Label Scheme" in 2013.
