Answer:

It is normal that “Work Time” does not start counting until the water temperature reaches the set temperature.

When the water is heated up to the desired temperature, a beeping sound will be heard. User can insert the food into the water and press down the “SET” button to start cooking. “Work Time” will then start to count from this point onwards.
