No, you don’t have to refill/add the oil in the Oil-filled Heater. The oil is not used as fuel, but instead serves as a heat reservoir therefore it never gets used up. It just continues circulating through the heater for as long as you use it.

You are not allowed to open the oil container yourself for repair. Oil-filled Heater is filled with a precise quantity of special oil. Repairs requiring opening of the oil container are only to be made by the manufacturer or his service agent who should be contacted if there is an oil leak.

The appliance is designed with an anti-tipover switch. When the appliance is tilted, the base deviates from ground or is placed on an uneven surface, the switch will pop out and cut off electricity connection for safety. It is safe to operate this product continuously for a long period of time. However, do not turn it on for a long time if it is unattended. Also, do not expose young children directly to the airflow outlet for an extended time.

Tower Fan Heater is equipped with a tip-over safety switch, which constantly uses a level to measure the angle of the Heater from the floor. What you have heard is possibly the sound of the level working, instead of an unsecure component. It is normal and does not require repair.
